Ape Escape Million Monkeys

Ape Escape Million Monkeys is a Japan only Playstation 2 game.

Have you got it? What do you think of it? Discuss.

  1. I used to have one copy though it didn't play the cutscenes, it seems fun and the stages were long. I like how that game is more mature than the main games but I still love the main games to death. =)

  2. Million Monkeys was definitely one of my favorite in the Ape Escape series. Or rather it's my favorite spin-off, right next to pumped and primed (even though for some reason me and my friends seem to be like the only people on earth who like that game). It was just so fast paced and the concept just works so well. The game is so good I didn't even mind that Play-Asia took two and a half months to get it to me... But... those puzzle stages in the virtual world... those just frustrated the hell out of me...

  3. Haha, we had a lot of trouble with those stages as well. Also, have you guys managed to complete the game? We still can't beat the final level. We activate the massive laser and the alien/creation thingy still lives :(

  4. I have beaten the game, and I cannot recall the awesome youtube user who told me the strategy of beating the final boss, but I can try and remember his advice... If I'm not mistaken you have to use the laser on the boss RIGHT as he is regenerating... or maybe it was RIGHT before it starts regenerating. But either way it is all about timing and the monster has to be getting hit by the laser at the same time it starts to regenerate because it takes more damage then it heals, so if you hit it at just the right time it'll just barely die as the laser is about to stop.

  5. I have beaten the game 4 years ago.

To me, Million Monkeys is one of the hardest games I have ever played out of all Ape Escape games. It's hard but it's not as impossible as Ape Escape Academy and it's really fun.

It deserves to be released outside of Japan, but I kind of doubt it would attract American gamers.
